8:44 I love the “retraining your brain” concept. It helps to not take your cravings personal because your brain is just wired to eat whenever or whatever and you can always reprogram your brain/mind.
@@VirtuallyKy yesss exactly! Your brain is literally just a computer and wants to run its known program 😄 rewiring just takes a lot of repetition and mistakes, and more repition until it’s suddenly done and the urges become less
I love skinny tok because, I enjoy that tuff love big sister vibe lol. I am 5'4 and my heaviest was 265lbs. I hated it, so I changed my diet and lost the weight. I agree with a lot of the things, but some of that stuff just doesn't work for me. For example I like to eat, and I like big portions. If I pay for something, Imma eat it. So Instead of fighting against that, I just fast and eat 1 big meal a day. I work at a desk and I'm naturally lazy. Again, instead of fighting that - I just bought a walking pad and walk while I work and play video games. I also share with my boyfriend especially if we eat out or its sweets, we always get the small and water too. I do believe the diet matters. I am actually carnivore because sugar and carbs affect me so much, especially my skin. Every person on skinny tok is like "eat veggies, fiber, low fat, don't finish your food" I don't do that. I keep it simple, eat the same thing pretty much every day simply because If I'm not willing to eat that, I'm not hungry.
If we are on vacation or at an event I follow the rule of compensation. I will literally work out in the hotel or go swimming and fast all day if I know we are going out to specifically eat. This way I can enjoy and try the native food/drinks. The next day I eat normally + workout even if I am still on vacation. I don't hang out with people who only drink/eat. I meal prep or have my man grill us steaks. If I feel "snacky" I drink electrolytes or a protein shake. currently 155lbs and a size small/medium. Best decision of my life. If anything, I highly recommend you walk 10min after every meal, get some hobbies that keep you distracted, spend money on things to level you up instead of food or start a savings account. You don't have to be carnivore but you should be eating whole foods for sure, all this ordering out and acting like cooking is difficult needs to stop. If you got money to order out or buy enough food to be overweight, you have money for meal boxes, a chef, nutritionist, a gym, a walking pad.
Skinnytok is teaching me the PROPER intuitive eating. It's hard, but being fat is hard also!

@@inez3190 yeh absolutely everyone is different. I think that specific advice is more targeted towards people who struggle with overeating and are “scared of being hungry”.
Hmmm i guess to each their own. These same mindset are the reason i had a severe eating disorder. The only way i saved myself is repairing my relationship with food, and learning the language of my body. I eat anything i want now , its also important to care about the quality of ingredients you put into your body, because you deserve the best. Theres nothing wrong with eating a cookie. Its all about functional and enjoyable eating 😊
@@spartan8696 absolutely!! I made a joke in the beginning 😉 I talk about 80/20 in the video. Balance is key. The core is really working on the over eating.
I’m pretty sure that was their whole point. Being in tune with your body and still eating anything you want and in good quality.
@@ambersummer2685 mhhm suggesting people to not eat even when not hungry is literally a recipe for disaster. I only want to expand on the positive, nobody is 'wrong' its your life and you should live it how u want.
@@spartan8696 I think it’s bad advice for certain people. Someone like you would not benefit from this hence why it made you uncomfortable. Someone like me on the other hand has been benefiting from this advice and I feel way more in tune with my body than I ever have before. And yes I do sometimes eat when I’m not hungry but I’m not going to eat an entire big bag of hot Cheetos in one sitting or a whole pizza till I feel like my stomach will burst. I’ll take one slice and have some hot Cheetos/share the hot Cheetos.
@@ambersummer2685 ok, but why not nourish your body with an actual meal? For example, if you are working 8hrs alot of people dont bother eating, since your mind is occupied you may not pick up on the hunger signals. Even if you are hungry or not , after a certain period your body needs hydration and nourishment.

First of all, everyone wants to at least be thin for society’s sake. If you were alone in the world, no one would care if they had love handles. Secondly, our food waste - especially when it comes to meat - unfortunately does contribute to hunger in other countries.
Totally get where you're coming from, but let’s be real - so what if someone wants to be skinny? if someone feels their best being leaner, that’s their prerogative - as long as it’s done in a healthy, sustainable way. Not everyone’s goal is to rebel against beauty standards - some of us just want to glow up, look good, feel confident, and show up as our best selves.
As for the “finish your plate” mindset - I was calling out that guilt-based conditioning many of us grew up with. Being told to overeat because of starving kids doesn’t actually solve hunger. All it does is disconnect us from our own bodies and create habits that lead to overeating. Wasting less food starts way earlier - with mindful portions, better food systems, and less overproduction - not by forcing people to eat past fullness.
The video is about taking your power back and making intentional choices, not ignoring real-world issues. You can care about global problems and want to feel good in your body. It's not either/or 💅
