i actually have a pet reaper. his name is screecher, (for obvious reasons) and he is passive. I kinda broke his ai, and he follows me, but can't ...hurt me? it's confusing, but eh. Also, he is passive to all creatures, like my other pet, Dark, the Stalker. (if you know, you know)
Leviathan is purely based on size requirement. Appearance has no bearing on the classification. A glow whale is a leviathan, and it looks nothing like the others.
I don't care what anyone says, Sea Treaders are the best leviathans. They kick up loot, don't eat my seamoth, and their poop is great for bio reactors.
The reaper is the only one that legitimately scares me. Every other one I don’t really trip off of being near. But that Reaper is a scary pain in the ass
Subnautica is scary because you suddenly hear something and then a leviathan comes out from nowhere bit the garg is just "Oh yep I see it from everywhere I know it's coming"
I tried doing this in Below zero but my PS4 reached the temperature of the sun and melted through the ground once i got the chelicerate cage in place because i made it large enough for him to actually swim freely and sort of, maybe, perhaps underestimated his size. Good job on your builds tho, i would love to see larger cages for smaller things like bonesharks with vegetation in them at some point in the future

Now you need to take good crossbow with tranquilized arrows to make them all unconscious and then feed them with kibble and you get tamed leviathan (idk what level is saddle)

Since it's a voide ghost I wonder if the requirement to despawn is being far enough into the void, or if it's being far enough away from the player. If it doesn't despawn then the next question is could you capture all 3 void ghosts and make the void completely safe to enter at any time? It's something I'm gonna attempt someday. Would be so nice
@QuangmingTetsu well I actually did some testing of my own. Unfortunately void ghosts are separate from normal ones. They despawn once they're far enough away from the player, about 300 meters if I remember correctly. As of now I can't think of any way to trap them permanently. I also tried to trick the game into thinking the ghost spawn cap was more full by dragging a normal ghost into the void, but 3 more still spawned meaning again the game counts them as completely separate entities. So no go sadly as of now
How cruel, leviathans need enough room to fully stretch out their bodies. The enclosure should Give them plenty of room to rest and swim. Did you even consider lighting and water parameters!?
Shame you can't drag the cages back to a base. I played this game for a bit but I have bad thalassophobia so it interfered with me being able to really enjoy the game but I tried. I think I put near 20hrs in. It's any game though. If I fall in the ocean it sparks a sense of dread in me. When I played the stranded deep blue I had to turn off the sharks. Irl sharks are one of my most favorite creatures but I have no interest in seeing them face to face. It's not just them. It's the ocean as a whole with a 12k feet average depth. I'm fine in bodies if freshwater. It's the unknown that really messes with me though. To look under the water and see no floor messes with me. If I was on a sinking ship please finish me before i have to float on the ocean. I really want to go to Japan but I don't think I can make it over all that water
I'm sure you could extend the cage back to Lifepod 5, or some central location, and then build back-stops to prevent the leviathan from moving backwards. I'm not sure what this would accomplish, though it would be cool to have all three in the SAME cage.
On the opposite side of enforcement platform island, there's a little arch between two sections of mushroom forest. If you build a base on that arch, you basically have a pet Reaper just out of range.

So if you capture all 3 of them,they will be no more in the void.
